Since I installed jEdit on Windows10 home, whenever I type letter Alt+0237 in any application, no text is transferred to the application, but jEdit starts, and takes the rest of my typing. Is there a way to change this annoying behaviour?

The Windows installer by default registers ctrl+alt+j as hotkey to start jEdit. I guess this somehow interfers with your Windows locale so that Alt+0237 is interpreted like the hotkey. Just open the jEdit shortcuts properties and remove the hotkey combination. You should find it at C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\jEdit
