The only reference to "10000" I can find in the jEdit source code is in an xsl file that is part of the documentation. Take a look at the rest of your development process, more likely you're getting an older version out of your source control software, like someone else overwriting your changes. Also, read this part of the jEdit help file, it talks about saving, two-stage save, auto-save, crash recovery, and backups. jEdit is very good at not losing your work.
hmm. since I saw this happening with notepad a while back, either I have been getting hacked, or there is a bug in the OS or filesystem driver or more likely in System Restore of windows. hard to characterize a bug like this when I have been either under attack and/or having failing hardware at the same time. what a messy time. I turned off system restore and I will see what transpires.

whatever kind of 10 it can find? what's going on here? my code gets backversioned way too much. please fix and let me know when it's been patched. thanks.
